Austin Bead Society Home Page
The Austin Bead Society is a nonprofit organization that was formed in October, 1990. The objectives of the Society are to promote education and research regarding beads and bead-related subjects, and to provide support to bead collectors, designers, and enthusiasts.




SOCIETY OF BEAD RESEARCHERS
The Society of Bead Researchers was formed in 1981 to foster research on beads of all materials and periods, and to expedite the dissemination of the resultant knowledge. Membership is open to all persons involved in the study of beads, as well as those interested in keeping abreast of current trends in bead research. The Society publishes a biannual newsletter, The Bead Forum, and an annual journal, Beads. Contents of the newsletter include current research news, requests for information, responses to queries, listings of recent publications, conference and exhibition announcements, and brief articles on various aspects of bead research.

Beadesigner International is a non-profit organization devoted to the study, design and research of beads, beaded jewelry and beaded objects. Our membership consists of beadmakers, jewelry designers, collectors, shop owners, gemologists, anthropologists, researchers and generally anyone interested in beads.

Northwest Bead Society Homepage
The Northwest Bead Society in Seattle, Washington, was founded in 1983, as a non-profit organization open to anyone with an interest in beads. We are dedicated to the study of beads, beading techniques and the historical role of beads in human development. We focus on the dissemination of knowledge and information about all aspects of beads.

The Bead Group of the Palouse
The Bead Group of the Palouse is an informal society of individuals interested in sharing information and skill techniques in the art of beading. Our group has been in existence for five years. We are comprised of participants mostly from the Palouse region – Eastern Washington and Western Idaho. (Although some of our members are located in other regions of Washington and other states). We are currently one of approximately 40 bead societies throughout the United States.
